Random Reflections on Being ‘Smart’
About a year ago, someone at Quora.com directed this question to me: “What are the advantages of not letting people know you have a high IQ?” Maybe that person assumed I fell into that category of “high IQ” because of the credential that follows my surname, i.e., PhD.
Just as an FYI: I don’t know my IQ…never have been tested. Although I’ve administered literally hundreds of gold-standard intelligence tests to children and dozens to adults. I’ve taught graduate students how to score, administer and interpret the Wechsler Suite of instruments.
